Like all emotions, anxiety and stress are normal aspects of the human experience. In certain situations, a moderate level of anxiety can even be helpful. But when anxiety becomes too high it can interfere with your ability to achieve your life goals, whether they be personal, professional, or social. Anxiety disorders are the most common type of mental health disorders, affecting more than a quarter of all people at some point during their lifetime. The good news is that anxiety is highly treatable. Scientific evidence clearly shows that anxiety disorders improve with evidence-based treatment, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Examples of Anxiety Disorders that I treat include Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder.
